Hey guys, Im going this weekend to target jewfish threadfin and barra. Its my first time targeting barra and jew do you guys have any tips. I will be using lures

Depends on where you are fishing, at the port will be different to in a narrow creek. Big soft plastics and vibes work well for the port but you might wanna use a shallow diver or a weedless plastic if you are deep in the mangroves, all depends on where I guess.

You'll probably want heavy leader like 40-50 pound as well.

I presume you mean black jew, seeing you are targeting barra and threadies in the same run...

Soft vibes seems to be the common choice for all 3 fish from Rocky to the cape.....

I would be working the bottom metre of water with small hops with the vibes or I would be working large soft plastic prawns short and sharp in the bottom 60cm.

Black jew are not as typical a lure target as the other two but they do sometimes hit them....get ready for a real workout if you do snag onto a big model. They are one of the hardest fights you will ever get in an estuary or inshore reef.
