queensland hutchy's & the shipping channel - sunday 20/01

headed out yesterday thru the 2 meter plus swell to hutchy's. trolled around for about 2 hours using a combo of skirts, teasers and hardbody with no joy whatsoever. there was another 20-25 other boats out there and we didn't see anyone hooked up to anything at all. even the bottom bashing charter boat patrons looked bored poo-less.

also tried trolling, live baiting and throwing slugs around the beacons, but again not one bite to be found. there were heaps of bait balls around (very tiny fish of some sort)but we didn't see anything all day smashing into them. the water is noticeably murky in the northern bay.

at least i managed to get the bloody dust and cobwebs off the boat!

Yeah spoke to one of the blokes at work here today who went out on Sunday. He said it was the biggest waste of $200 fuel ever.

Apparently there was a comp down at the Goldy, and something like out of 55 boats that went out, only 10 fish were brought back to the weigh in.

Yeah we went out yesterday in the bay, and we only got a few Wobbie's, and a couple of Snapper. Only one good fish (46cm Snapper) out of every thing.

i know a guy who got a 100kg black on sat and lost 1 around the same sunday

and theres a comp out there this weekend and they normly dont get to many fish in goldy tournaments
