Tonight the site seems to be flying.

Over the last couple of weeks ive found it very slow to browse.

Painfully slow.

I've not noticed any difference. It's been sweet-as for ages.

It may be your internet connection, as we are pretty sure the fast performance of the site has not been affected over the last 6 months or so.

Yeah, I haven't noticed a difference either Shortie. Was it just AFO that was sluggish?

What browser are you using Shortie? IE7 can be a resource hog, and as such if you have a slow PC it will lag a bit. Firefox users generally claim that FF is a bit friendlier on the machine. I've got a smoking fast comp at home, so IE7 is fine for me.

Ive tried 3 different pc's at different locations.

All broadband connections.

All Other wesites and forums have been quick. Only site that seems to have been affected for me was AFO.

Clicking Community and then forum. It displays reasonably quickly. When i click on a latest forum psosts item it had been taking for ever.

But all good at the moment its working perfect.

3.2gb p4 with 4gb ram.

only problem i have with speed is waiting for the front page to load because it has so many pictures etc

It's been flying for me over the last 6-8months or so.

Back before they did heaps of changes to the browser and other upgrades, it was slow:ohmy:. I think alot of us would have eBay up to search while we were waiting for it to load.

But now, it loads in less than a second:)

Good to hear most peoples are running smooth.

I primarily use two computers for AFO'ing and both have them have had the site running fast in recent times.

Both the PC i use (work and Home) were shockingly slow beofer xmas and ealry as I have posted, but since xmas all has been fine with most if not all pages even with lots of images opening within 1 sec on my work PC (love a T1 connection)

Good job on the changes what ever they were.
