Dohles Rocks

Does anyone know if that park at Dohles Rock has sheltered tables? And how far are they from the water? Isn't parking an issue?

I probably will spend a few moments there, circumstances permitting.

I shall be better with my paperwork tomorrow.

Havnt been there for ages but from memory, parking isnt an issue, there are heaps of boat parks, and lots of street to park in.

Here is a site with a bit of info on the area. Pic shows a sheltered area, but that looks it may be an old pic, i remember the ramp being a lot nicer.

Thanks, Woody.

But can people actually fish there? I mean without bothering others on their boats? And is it legal?

That's just the ramp end. Past the ramp is about 1km of parks next to the water with a few shelters. The area has been done up recently including fixing the ramp up. It is now a great spot to launch your boat if your fishing the bottom end of the pine. Bit painful when the wind is up though, and not real good if you are by your self.

If you have a good casting arm you should be able to flick some plastics out to some of the trawlers that park not far off the bank. Or you could hire a boat from Bear's boat hire and putt around the pine for a few hours. The boats at bears used to have fantastic bimini's on them ;) not sure if they have been replaced since we did them though....

That's right, Blockah. The tables there are so bare. I was soaking wet.

Having said this, everything is well though. I caught my first Whiting there. It was beautiful there. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.

:)

they put shelters all along the water front a few years back & every one in the houses cracked it because it blocked there view so they took them down again.
