queensland logan fishing spots

Have just moved to Kuraby on Brisbanes southside and am wanting to know of any close fishing spots - don't have a boat fish from the shore. Can any give me spots?

Mate there are a few good spots to fish on the Logan shore based. Here are a few that I go to now and then. Skinners park,Riedel Rd,Beitz Rd and also off the wall on Rotary Park Rd. Hope this helps.

Living at Kuraby as well, I tried all those spots and find rotary park rd is the best. I normally just use a piece of mullet or chicken.

kuraby is a top place to live!!! i usually go a bit further afield and hit up the gold coast, it is almost always worth the drive. only about an hour down there. where you guys located in kuraby?

Hi Rhino,

I'm in Logan too...have found the logan River to be Ok from the bank - Jacobs Well, Cabbage Tree Point are all worthwile spots to drop a line. I have caught a 68cm Bull Shark in the Logan River - was off a boat though.

Still trying to find a good land based spot - but have had little success. Bit will keep on trying! may go further south to the coomera river has anyone had success there?

When the boat traffic is low apparently there are some good trevally and mangrove jack around there. Try a live mullet or a popper around dawn or dusk and you should be rewarded with something. If nothing else you stand a good chance of a cod if you fish on the edge of some rocks.
