Red Claw as bait

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone has had much success fishing for natives using Redclaw. I used to use freshwater yabbies down South and had great succes with Yellowbelly, Cod and redfin using yabbies but have tried redclaw a few times up here but have only caught one yella and a bass in about five or six attempts at using them. Tried them again at North Pine with Dave yesterday as nowhere has shrimp at the moment and got nothing on them (Thank god we had worms as well). Very frustrating

redclaw are ok at hinze and somerset as second choice to shrimp but in samsonvale have yet to catch a bass or yella on them even though we have dissected bass and yellas there and found redclaw in their stomachs.

Saltwater yabbys work well at Boondoomba, Bejelke peterson and Baroon pocket and Somerset but definatly dont work at Sampsonvale and catfish love them at Wivenhoe
