hey everyone,

I was just wondering where you guys go to get your gear. I mainly go through Ebay and BCF.

I found Anaconda to be a bit disapointing and over priced.

Also if you could state why you go there, like cheap or good adv or large amounts of stock etc.

Usually bcf coz its 1 min away but sometimes amart because its also close. i also tried captain blighs tackle warehouse on the way back from soccer. It was quite good and it had some really random brands. It was pretty good aswell.

I have seen the adds for capt B's in fishing mags and they're prices seem really good. Just never got a chance to go out there.

No actually I saw a few prices that were better than other shops. E.g i got my siglon(6 pd) for 13$. I can't remember if it was on sale or not tho.

Jones' Tackle is across the road from Lutwyche shopping centre. I dunno about them, their prices for cast nets were bloody expensive:o Since then, I haven't checked back with them.

Anaconda can be good, especially when they have their member discounts. Failing that, they'll beat any price by 10%.

Yeah Amart is convenient for me.

Any budding young business men out there i would point out there are bugger all, (i cant think of one) tackle store in the western suburns. For that matter even like a cmaping shop if you wanted to combine. Please correct me if im wrong i would like a better local.

But i have found Gordon MacDonalds tackle warehouse on old cleveland rd really really good.

Good prices and a huuuuuge range.

If im up north Davo's tackle and bait at noosa also kicks ass. Although i dont know where the new shop is since they have moved.

I must admit i dont mind BCF, and as to there AWA, well, it doesnt effect me, so.......

Im on an AWA at my work and it works out well. I guess it depends on the particular awa.

Amart allsports, when they have a sale you can buy some cheap stuff! Its awsome. when ever theres a fishing sale on its like 25% off so u really do get some good bargins, when ever theres a sale i allways stock up on plastics and jig heads.

yea i usually use amart mainly becuase its close...but lately it has been a bit disappointing in the way of luers...i was looking in there a couple of days ago and they 2 or 3 different types of hard bodys. But the store is loaded with SP's and Squigees. Also i was looking in K-mart recently for tackle boxes and they seemed to have a preety good variety of luers and there fairly cheap aswell.

I like to shop at Amart when they have there sales on SPs.. at times they have berkleys 2 packs for $12.. Otherwise i do a lot of my shopping at captain blighs.. They have good prices and great service for me..

I have seen jones tackle and my first impressions were that they are a bit on the expensive side..(sorry ando)

Cheers

Amart is convenient and can be really good they have random sales Ive picked up all sorts of bargains from there, BCF are cheaper than most other tackle stores ive found, ive bought heaps of cheap lures on ebay that work well on tailor and trevally. I go to my local Charltons for more specialised stuff and when i need advice, theres a new guy there who is very helpful.
