Bass fishing advice?

Hi guys

Im Interested in trying to catch my 1st bass in my Local Creek which holds stacks of Carp, and have heard of Bass being in there :cheer: .

Im going to chase them on some Surface Lures but also am gonna try and catch them on bait.

Im not really sure on what kind of baits work best on Bass, So if you could help me out that would be awesome!

k mate,

bass, use freshwater prawns, saltwater can work but it may not be too good for the environment. also worms are good, just get them out of a compost bin or something.

with lures, s/baits seem to have most luck with bass, purple colours seem to work in NPD not sure about others.

please keep in mind, i am yet to catch my first bass:( , all this info is from reading posts like everyday, a person to see is dinnodog(i think thats how you spell it). he knows heaps about bass fishing.

shrimp would be best but worms will do the trick dont give up on lures as well

If its a small creek try casting lures into the shadows in front or under trees, or cast to logs in the water. As said before small hardbodies, s/baits or surface lures are all OK.

when people say cast in tight to a snag they mean 6 inches or less ive found thisll work for you just make sure you buy a tackle back"lure retriver" first

If you want to catch some shrimp, try a fine mesh bait gathering net or trap. Read up on the rules and regs about that before you start though:)
