queensland sandies and flatties st hellena

took the missus of this morning....left manly ramp at 4....put the pots in ....checked the pots at sunup...got 7 ..next check none ...next check got 2....then went to a sandbank nearby.....got 4 flatties and 3 whiting...biggest flattie was 45cm the rest bout 40cm....pulled the pots in and got another 5...all in all a good day out.....cheers rosco

yer rosco1974 you did ok on the sandies we have been out there and didnt get many at all:( but this time last year we were getting heaps of sandies good work on the flatties

yeah they seem a bit scarce this year......hopefully the sandies will pick up in the next few weeks

been quiet for sandies here on the coast, most sessions we have only been getting 5 or so but they have been some of the biggest sandies we have caught.

Are you just dropping pots for the sandies, I mainly use dillies and check every hour or so, the dillies do get hammered by the bullies and hammerheads though

i use pots or dillies....normally check ever 40 minuts... find they both work as good as each other....

leighton when we use dillys we would check them every 10minutes so as to get the crabs out before the turtles would get themB) that would mean if we had 8 or more dillys we would be going round all the time

pulling dillys :side::silly::side::silly: we find pots catch just as many as dillys;)
