queensland sunday arvo sharking, sunday 1/3/09

went to bretts sunday arvo with some nsw blue mackerel bought from samys girl to try get some sharks happening. i arrived about 4pm, threw 2 halves in on separate rods and instantly got 2 catties. baited up my smaller rod (6-8kg snapper rod w 15lb braid) and the half mackerel got smacked by a lil baby bully:

teck and my other mate rocked up, we caught an eel in the castnet, chopped him up and put some eel out there, got 1 run on that but no hookup and that was the last of the shark action. was fun while it lasted anyway and i now have some more eel in the freezer for next time

man it smells like absolute sh*t after a few hours in a bag, almost worse than eel :s so yeah lol

gonna take some out to the mouth next time and see what happens

once you skin them its gone

nah i mean the mackerel lol, bought it fresh on saturday and after a few hours in a cooler bag on sunday was making me gag
