queensland Where to fish near Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

The missus is taking her friend up to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary next week.I'll drop 'em off then go for a fish. Where's good nearby? Prefer a pontoon or specific fishing spot.

Mandalay park is not to bad.Malcolm fishes there regularily. I also think its as close as you can get landbased to the koala sanctuary.

Take ya sdhark gear. Malcolm got a 3 ft bullt in his cast net the other night.

The boat ramp is the go then? Or is there a secret Malcolm X Spot ?

don't think theres much access there aside from the boat ramp

No spot x mate just around the ramp area and over to your right as your facing the water there is a gap in the trees where the beacon is some times depending on tide there is an eddie that forms there

actually got chased for around 20 mtrs by a bullie there years ago while wakeboarding, very strange feeling looking back and seeing this thing actually chasing ya. lucky we were close to little sandy bit that was there years ago, so i bailed, made sure i crashed on the beach and gave everybody there a good laugh. some of the other people there saw what happened, and refused to go back into the water.

Yikes! Chasing you!? I go skiing round there but still live in bully denial. I just tell myself that they just arnt to interested in you if you have a boat around

actually the boat engine makes them curious and tends to bring them in if they're in the area. just try not to look like a seal and you should be good though!

they are deffinately interested, maybe time and place, i would go for a ski there, but nothong under 50 mph now though, it might have been the slap of the wakeboard on landing, we used to ski from jindalee to southbank and back several times, but at night, if you cant see, you don't know, sometimes all night, was bloody brilliant. water was good, and no other boats. if you see boats named
