After spending a day in the boat at caloundra with only catching a few bream we decided to meet up with some friends to have a fish at the mouth of a canal near power boat club.

tryed hard to catch a shark but was unsuccessful:( . my bro in law managed to catch a 52cm jack on a dirty old bit of mullet i couldn't believe it:blink:. couple of rums and a few fish,was a good night. Nice jack mate. Decent grunter for the passage as well. I have caught a lot this year but all under.

I am assuming you mean the 3rd photo?

If so the fish is a Grunter Bream.

Common up north. They are not "uncommon" down here but nearly as common as regular yellow fin bream.
