queensland Stanley River - Feral and Ferg - 11 2 07

Well Ferg and I spent a pleasant afternoon fishing the Stanley River. We got 3 Bass to the bank, and a few more hits.

Got my first ever fish on a surface poppa, awesome sight , as I saw the bass coming like a train in the water and wham!

I was hoping for that elusive cod, Ferg got a 3 footer in here a few months ago! But the river is certainly beautiful, and sure to become one of my favorite spots!

Wild bass sure do slam much harder than those impoundment bass...

They are impoundment bass, swum upstream from Somerset Dam.

Local is on private property fella's, so no access.

i have fished the river in another location but looks very similar...a beauty of a spot...no yellas hey?..thats what we mainly get in there....nice work on the popper caught bass to!

so stanley river is up near esk ando

Sorry, Stanley river runs from Woodford to top of Somerset dam (Villeneuve)
