Need my mid week fix bad this week, and have an early mark from work.

Fishing gear is in the car and am ready to roll come 3pm.

Whos fishing this arvo/evening and wants some company?

Dont care where, poopchute, comslie, bulimba, hell even newstead.

I just need to get my feet wet!!!!!

No worries, Blairy and I are cast-netting from 1800, come on down! I have been fishing for the past three nights, so might do some family time and then drop out when they are tucked in, but this is only a maybe at the moment.

I've googled "norman spot" and "Quay St". Found Quay St no problamo, but the norman spot is giving me grief. Is it anywhere near the boat ramp?? TIA!

PS For the trivia buffs there is a Norman Spot in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

had 2 whole bonito out, one floater and one unweighted,,,, no hits at all!! last night i got pinned by something big with whole pike swimming on my hooks so might go back to that

Sitting here waiting for dome more bites have got 1 Jew fish so far another was caught someone should be posting photo's later. And a couple of rays not many bites but I had 1 missed run on the bait runner. Might give it another 20 min then head home.

Rays all round, a Bream for Mooky's freezer and a 60cm Hairy Jew for Craig. Photos and report tomorrow. Just back from Colmslie (12-1 sesh on the way home from Bulimba), nothing to report!

Twas a bit of a slow night but good to see so many AFO's along at Bulimba.

Was getting a little like Taylor season on Fraser Island with the amount of lines in the water

Great night boys!

I now have the knack with the cast net, got plenty of bait - just not many bites

Ryan was the King of the Cast Net and hauled in at least 10 big mullet in one cast, I was just happy with a few prawns and glassies.

No poddy bullet though, just big basterds!

Couple of rays and a little bream - only kept cause he inhaled 2 gahmatsu circle hooks :ohmy:

8 decent mullet for the frezzer and a couple of bags of prawns - to set me up for friday when I do it all over again.

Pretty quiet night, although the two jewies kept everyone on the ball, even if we only got stingrays ! One bust-off and one spat hook, unknown what critters they were. Awesome to catch up with everyone and meet some of you for the first time! Thoroughly enjoyable night. Thanks all!

My vote would to have a Humpday Fish once a month when the tides are right - any thoughts? Maybe trying different places around the river.

mullet, both live and strips, as well as frozen pillies. Prawns may have accounted for some, but not too sure.
