Got a juvenile black on Breaksea Spit Fraser Island Saturday morning in my boat. Lachlan on the rod and Fadil got an awesome tag shot away though looking shaky on a 12' tag pole at the start. Went heavy in the arvo and watched Ian's boat hookup to a 120kg blue 100m away on a skipped rainbow runner from his 5.2KC Shikaree after hearing about Mistress doing well heavy tackle there a couple of days previous. Also got 800m out of the 585 Furuno its maximum reading and held 700m easily. Shikaree and Thunderbird got into the other gamefish species a bit south of where I was fishing both days.
