Hey i was reading a post on ausfish and ol mate has caught himself a fat Mary river cod that came in at 70 odd centimetres

Jus thought jimmybob and gus would want to know that

Lad's, I was throwing a Tilsan around early the other morning between College's Crossing and Mt Crosby Weir. As the lure landed, something ??, smashed at the lure that left a bow wave about the size of a ten year old kid doing a bomb. The fish missed the lure, but it left me shaking and wondering. Had to be a cod, shark or the mother of all bass. Would love to troll a big Stump jumper through there to see what's hiding down there.

Shaggy: Judging from the area id say it could also have been a Lungfish.

Troy had a Lungfish take his Jakal at North Pine so it would surprise me.

I GOT A LUNGFISH IN THE SPILLWAY AT WIVINHOE ON A CRRANKBAIT IT TOOK IT RIGHT AT THE SURFACE SO IT MOST LIKELY WAS A LUNGFISH BUT I HOPE IT WAS A COD.TIGHT LINES.

:laugh: Yeah mate would get a little excited, I have caught Murray Cod and trout cod still have Eastern and Mary river cod to go, slowly working my way through Australias native fishes
