queensland Mooloolaba 17/2/07

Howdy Y'All,

Went down to the boat ramp (formly known at the poontoon) at mooloolaba on the weekend for a few beers and some fishing. Plently of people around but unfortunately not too many fish.

caught this stripey looking angry little fish who wasnt too happy to see us. No idea what is it??

Earlier in the day a mate caught a 29cm whiting which was about the best we could do.

Also caught a small ray and a decent size sandcrab. But other than that not much excitement.

Heading down to cleveland this weekend hopefully so might do better.

I have seen that stripy fish before some kind of perch i think.

Looks like some kind of morwong to me.

i've seen plenty of them prickley little buggers but i dont know what they are. a friend of mine says they are a type of spinecheek.

yo yo...its a cresent perch dudes....ya get a few on lures in the canals here on Bribie island.....tha IS a small ray..
