fresh water fish id

i caught this fish in nsw in a river on my way home from tasmania, we caught quite a few but unfortunatly were all the same small size.

im thinking maybe a type of cod?

It's a type of Cod yep. What side of the range did you catch it on? Also where in NSW? (it's a big place ) That will determine the species.

Probably a small Murray, but could also be an Eastern Cod or a few others

it was near the border of victoria, murabijigi river or something
