Fishing info for Coro Dr region of Brisbane River

Hi everyone, just joined up and looks like an awesome sight.

I have just recently moved around the Milton area, and am wondering what the fishing is like around the Oxleys Restraunt.

I am mostly targeting Bream and Flathead.

If that is not a good spot, where is the closest for these fish.

I normally use bait, but am looking at buying a rod for throwing lures around the rocks.

Any info would be great.

Personally haven't pulled a flathead from that stretch but there are bream and alot of cod in them rocks

float some pieces of bread along the rocks while you fish. Works very well in the Bris river.

have gotten some bream near the city cat jetty before.

also expect lots of catties..

think angus mentioned to me once he got a bullie from the bridge at oxleys too

Looks like I will have some fun targetting the bream.

Better not get too close to oxleys restraunt though, otherwise I might end up someones dinner.

from memory i thought oxelys had gone under and was closed now??

The restraunt is still there Kriso.

In fact they now have a deck area, where you can just buy fish n chips etc, and sit on the pontoon.

Gets a little bumpy when windy and a citycat goes past, but still relaxing.

I think there is some "no fishing" signs right next to the restraunt.

Still, plenty of rocks along that stretch to flick some lures for bream.

Considering I used to live at Toowong I really did not explore that area enough. As was afore mentioned however I did get a little bully at Oxley's, as well as a couple of bream.

I hope to hit up my new reach with increased and more enthusiastic vigour

keep an eye out for charlie, hes a local there and will show you the big bream spots

if I don't land a fish, I can order one from the restraunt.
