just found this site surfing the net

i am a land based fisho and reasonably new to sunny QLD

Most of my fishing was based in batemans bay (nsw)surf fishing

struggling with the humidity

love the rain (when do the cold nights kick in)

can anyone help with spots as i live around cleveland

You're best off reading through some (or a lot) of the old posts for reports in the Brisbane area or the North Coast.

Hey Mate, welcome, you could always try Wellington Point (Cleveland being on the southside is my assumption). When it is heading towards low, plastics will normally get you a flatty or two on the sand bar between Wello and King Island.

Tried wello point on sunday on the incoming tide but the kite flyers just run straight over the top of me

keep your eye on the "going fishing" and the "events" notice board

always people going fishing somewhere and looking for company

or offering decky spots on thier boats

it's good way to meet some locals and get into the afo comunity
