Blank screen if firefox

Have same problem on firefox but only occasionally. Also sometimes I log in and it goes to my profile, I then click on the homepage and try to view posts and it appears I have not been logged in. Sometimes even when the 'new' tags are there.

Sometimes takes a few goes and only seems to be at peak times (not sure if this is relevant), I always seem to succeed in the end so not a major deal for me. Just thought I would pass on info

Cheers Jono

I get this occasionally too. Seems to occur when I'm not logged in and try to view the forum by clicking on latest posts on the home page or refreshing a window that had a forum page open. I think a login form used to appear but now it doesn't.

FF 3.5.8 Mac

It was running like a dream and automatically logged me in until all those IE users piped up about their profile issues

  • 1 month later...

I got the same problem too, after I change to use firefox from IE recently.

The web keeps logging me out I think about every 15 mins, makes me need to login everytime when I come back or or just keeps the AFO browser opens with no action.

It's really annoying sometimes, wish it will be fixed soon.

Firstly do what this link says to do-

Click for instructions

Also follow the link on 'profile to find your profile folder.

But just doing that didn't work for me, this is what you do after you do the above.

Shut down Firefox- open IE and remove all histroy, cookies, temp files, saved data passwords, the lot.

close it down.

Go to Firefox remove saved passwords, history, temps, everything, form data, the lot.

also remove AFO from Firefix favourites.

Close it down.

Now all data has been cleared

Open Firefox and go to google, type in AFO.

Go to the site and it should not recognise you or even your password.

(If it remembers your login then you have not removed 'saved passwords').

So go to the login page and login, Firefox will then ask "do you want Firefox to remember this password?" click yes, you will be logged in.

Shut it down then go to google again and type in AFO.

Follow the link and the site will now recognise you (automatically logged in).

Add AFO to Favourites.

Cheers
