I was fishing CIW down near the golf course the other day for bass and come along half an eel tailed catfish floating, it looked pretty fresh and would have been a 40cm plus fish, at first i thought eel but the bite was to clean to be an eel so my next guess is bullshark, I'll try to upload pics. half_catfish_002.JPG

Lock in B thanks Eddie. Its bitten off in textbook bullshark fashion, right behind the spines.

CIW is a locked canal, so if a dolphin was spotted in there there would be a full blown seaworld rescue. Sharks on the other hand can sneak in through the locks a s boats come and go, and can live in fresh indefinitely

Ive also seen this in clear island waters my guess would also be a bull shark.Theres been a couple of times ive been fishing in the broadwater and have seen hundreds of catfish heads just floating around. It is a bit odd though everyone i seen was bitten in half exactly the same way.
