Aldi has some cheap line

Was just in Aldi at Capalaba, they are selling braid and mono of diffrent kgs, the braid is $14.99 reduced from $19.99 and the mono is $5.99, just thought I would share....cheers Beejay

I have the 30 lb braid on a shimano baitrunner and had 4 or 5 Mackerel, not a bad braid but nothing special.

It's Crane brand which seems to be their sporting goods brand. It's good for the price. Been using the 20 lb and it does the job.

Have used the heavier stuff but haven't really had it tested out by anything decent yet. Mono is handy for a backer too....

At that price you really can't go wrong

how many spools did they have down there ?

its ok ,i was using 17 lb on 2 reels .

i also had 8 lb and 20 lb,it got used for sewing canvas and what was left of the 17 lb and the 2 reels of 17 lb as well.

that was 600 meters and they had to buy more .

i hid the 30 lb pack i had for a bigger rod .

1 got 300 meters off ebay for sewing and will get some more ebay braid since more will be needed .

but i still got to get some 4 ,6 and 8 lb for me for fishing.
