How to get rods apart?

My three piece surf rod is giving me the sh^ts. I can't get the first and second sections apart any more no matter what I try.

Any ideas? There must be a way!!!!

fridge it?? and hope that by cooling it, it contracts enough to be pulled apart??...

maybe a good blast of water disperant around the joins and lit sit for awhile to soak in, i pull mie apart with a twisting action as well

go the WD-40, its pretty good stuff.

maybe some kind of lube like reel oil, try getting it into the ferrule

then later you would have to wash with detergent to remove it which would help rid it of any build up as well...

soak it in something that repels salt i.e salt-x (i think thats what its called)

If the other options dont work, pick up a can of Loctite freeze & release. It freezes the area you spray, and also lubricates. Maybe give the join a bit of a tap with something to try and break apart the corrosion

oxy torch and a couple of pairs of vicegrips

Penetrating lubricant with a 24hour soak(maybe heat it up a little locally), constant twisting force coupled with a soft faced hammer to shock the joint loose with a side on blow. careful with the hammer!
