How much braided line should i put on my reel?

Hey Guys,

I just got my 30 lb 300 yard power pro a few days ago and i've been thinking how much of the line i should use on my reel.. i've already got 50lb monoline on my daiwa saltist 4500H, spools around 3/4 full and was wondering if i should spool all of my new braided on to it or maybe spool just 150 yards on it..

Help is appreciated.. ill thank all of you first... just been thinking about this non stop

Will you use it for deep or shallow work ?

If shallow (river, bay etc) I'd go less 100/150

If deep (65+ metres) do the whole spool.

id take off the 50 fill the spool with the braid if theres any room use some of the 50 to get a full spool then reverse the lines of the spool and put back on under some tension a large field helps with this

if you only put on a small amount you will find yourself throwing away small portions as the line gets used up and thus becomes wastefull

Thx for you help guys! I think spooling all my braids on it will be better.. i wouldn't hav any use for the leftovers anyways.. :laugh: :laugh: thx guys!!
