Day spots with Dogs

Hey guys,

I am looking for somewhere to go for a day trip, with the 4wd and the dog. I have been to Inskip lodas but can't warrant driving that far for a day. I live in Ipswich so anywhere with in 2 hours drive. Any ideas.

There are quiet a lot of beaches up the sunshine coast that allow dogs, some on leasehs and some without, theres one just past coolum where theres a large creek area coming in the sea very poplular with dogs.

Davey, I believe that is Teewah beach / Double Island and dogs are not allowed in this area at all. THey have to remain in the car and not get out on the beach.

I know the place, always see a lot of dogs of leash there, don't think there is any signage otherwise. Would be a long drive from the switch but.

That'd be either Stumers Creek or Castaways Creek Davey speaks of I think.

You could head to Emu Creek in Benarkin State Forest. Between Moor(e) and Blackbutt. 4WD not essential. It's bush not beach obviously :laugh: They have 2 sections - one dog friendly. The odd deer and cow about if fido feels the need to chase things :dry:

you got it Ellicat, its a place also where they do the parachute drops onto, I think its called Strumers Creek and its near to Castaways. No where near Teewah.Dogs also allowed on beaches on leash, at Buddina and Warana head down Point cartwright Drive, miles of beach certain areas do allow them off leash and they are marked, crap bages also provided :laugh:
