going up to airlie beach next week for a few days then down to mackay, i realise its going to be pretty hectic up thier atm but i just need to get out of brisbane, does anyone know any good places to stay? going to take 2 rods up, and hopefully get into some fish, also going down to mackay to chill with a mate for a bit..if anyone could help us out that would be great cheers

inlaws just came from prossie yesterday, they didnt get to much damage around there,

if you have a car, go to lagoona quays marina 40 mins south of airlie. the resort is closed so you can nearly garuntee the marina wall will be all yours.

ive had plenty of jack and cod off it and seen people that have caught barra.

fish the inside of the wall, and cast parrallel to the wall, on a falling tide with deep divers around 100mm, anything gold in colour will be eaten. be wary u can only fish the north wall, security patrol pretty regurly.
