3.5Hp Johnson Motor

Mate, My dad used to own a 3.5hp as an auxillary.

It was the crappiest motor ever. It would have been started atleast every month and serviced every 18months or so.

He just bought a Tohatsu 3.5hp.

Much, Much better motor. It starts first or second time every time compared with 10th - 20th time for the johnson.

They have 2 year warranty.

The tohatsu 3.5 come with either a Forward or Forward and Neutral.

Fowards = roughly $820

Foward+Neutral = roughly $900

The tohatsu has a weight of 13kg.

It is a bloody reliable motor.

For the 3.5hp Johnson I would say $900-$1000.

But Dad had a Johnson 25hp that lasted over 20 years 22to be exact.

Then he traded it in.

I hope my advice helps

Thanks very much guys for that!

Yeh I have one that I am thinking about selling and after what you said johnsonMAN it sounds like a good move to sell it. And i don't particulaly like johnson motors so yeh, id rather get a little yamaha or a mecury.

Cheers, Joel
