Crown Land in Bris?

Is there any crown land along the rivers in bris? I want to trek along a couple on the northside but dont want to tresspass! How would someone find out about crown land?

Dunno how I works here in brissy,but in the bush the property owner only technically only owns land around natural rivers and cks above the highest water mark. Anything below that mark is crown land.

In vic. Property owners don't 100m from any water edge apart from a private dam. Therefore must allow access. But Qld law is different. They don't have to allow access here.

As far as I have found out the property owners can have 2 different types of deeds, one is as above and the other is the property goes to the centre of the creek. You would never know unless you asked the owner. However if yaking if you launch from a public place ie picnic ground and stay in the water you should be able to go as far as you like. Just watch out for the cockies that have barbed wire fences across the creek. These fences come about by 2 property owners sharing access to the water for thier cattle, one owner has the creek fenced for a few hundred metres on his side then the fence goes through the creek and the other owner then fences his side for a few hundred metres and so on. Problems arise when sometimes the creek bed is hundreds of metres wide. Years ago crown land was one chain back from the water.
