A few bream on poppers

I have been a bit selfish of late, enjoying others reports and not posting any of my own. So i thought it was about time i share some of the fishing i have been doing in the last couple of weeks. The time i had to fish was limited so i made sure i used early morning and late arvos to sneak a few Bream in. I had some pretty good results and broke a few misconceptions i had about surface fishing for Bream. I suppose that's one of the things about fishing of any type, that just when you think you have figured it out, there is always more to learn.

I was in the kayak which makes things easier. The poppers in those pics are Zipbaits skinny pops in the clear colour. I use that popper a fair bit with good success.

I am by no means a Bream on poppers expert and i use a heap of brands and styles. I tend to think it's more about times of day and tides if you want to do well.

In terms of colours, well clears, purples, greens and whites and silver colours seem to work well for me. I have never done well on dark colours but i am sure there is a time and a place for dark poppers for Bream.
