Baroon in winter

Hey guys, got a dilemma. Mate at work wants to catch his first bass on lure. I don't want to take him to Hinze as it is to hit and miss with lures at the best of times, so was thinking Baroon pocket (I thought North pine but want to go somewhere different and take either the yaks or boat). Anyone been there since the cold snap and is it doing this whole rolling over thing or is it worth a go.

I havnt fished it yet this winter but i fished it all through last winter and the fish were still there not quit as many as summer but the size was up. an average 4 hour winter session trolling lures should get you 20 fish minimum while summer I would expect more like 40. winter average size was around 35cm with the biggest being 50cm fork. Fish the middle of the dam with divers in the 6-7M range. the boomerangs and poltergeists do well.
