Boat insurance

Have been trying to chase up some insurance for the new boat but because it is home made a lot of the companies don't want to know anything about it.

Can anyone recommend a good reliable company to try, thanks

I have 2 of my boats insured with suncorp along with everything else I own and I tell you, I have faxed in quotes from other companies before and they have matched it as a '1 off deal' as perhaps I have a number of policies with them.

But my racing catamaran is insured with Tudor insurance who specialise in boats.

I use club Marine, would have liked Suncorp but they were much cheaper even with the suncorp discounts for multiple policies.

It looks like club marine are going to come to the party

Suncorp, RACQ, NRMA won't insure it if it is home built.
