Hi Guys,

I'm looking at getting a video camera so I can better document some of my (hopeful) catches. I am thinking about getting a Crocolis Extreme. Done some research and it looks pretty good and like it will suit my needs. I am just wondering if people have this camera and if they like it, and also where they purchased it from. I haw found a few sites but they have some conflicting stories of reliability. Below is a link for a review of the camera and some of the prices/sites. Any advice or reviews would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at the Gopro?

I have but $300 is a little out of my price range. Unless its possible to get them cheaper from the states etc.

And I particularly like the idea of the viewfinder at the back so I can see the field of view before I even start filming.

Yeah very true, but you can buy and LCD screen that goes on the back of the Gopro, and it is worth the money. You get 6 different mounting points and very easy to change settings

i watched 12 mins of that video on the Crocolis HD, looks very noice. i might get one myself.. for the price looks awesome.

I understand that the GoPro is very popular and ive aeen the footage it takes. But on my tight budget I cant really justify that extra coin.

Only thing is the reliability of overseas retailers. Have read some stories of ppl being ripped off when ordering from china. Take the plunge and hope for the best.
