rod tips

seeing as i have never had to replace the tip on a graphite rod before i thought i'd ask how you go about getting the old one off without damaging the rod

Carefully cut the binding off with an old razir blade or trimming knife blade running the blade parallel to the rod.

Do not cut downwards.

Then heat the tip with a gas lighter whilst hilding tip with a pair of pliers and gently twisting the rod tip . The heat will melt the glue and the top will come off easily.

When you replace tip use some 5 minuite araldite to secure. Some tips already come with glue inside them and you have to heat them to secure.

Then bind and seal binding with some epoxy.
