queensland North reef Bowen

Spent the day at North reef Gray Bay/Bowen again today. Conditions were great until 10am, when the current picked up and I copped a few waves over the side. I trolled some big lures in different colours around, in close to the rocks and out a bit further for a half hearted strike, so ended up sticking with the Armour shads. Didn't go to bad with 30+ fish seeing the net. Highlights where my first Coral Trout x3 but a tad under size, a 50+ bludger on 4LB over shallow reef :woohoo: and what appears to be a cross between a Parrot and a Tilapia think its called a Carolines Parrot fish? Also got a just under Spangled Emperor. Kept the bludger for a feed.

Still can't figure out what type of Cod these are, getting a few and would like to no if they are a no take species or not!

Also went for a look up the look out, bloody spectacular to say the least

3 between 33 and 35cm legal is

Hopefully I will get a chance to head back up next sunday, I want to do more around that big jetty.

I think it is a type of wrasse.
