boat ramp closure

Hi ya a bloke i know through work who is in VMR told me that the boat ramp at spinker sound is to be closed due to upgrading of marina & no plans in place to put it back .Aparrently the existing ramp belongs to marina.Was wondering if anybody knows any more to this? It would be shame to lose such a good all weather ramp.

I would have thought Marina would not be able to survive without some way of getting the yachts in and out of the water? If people have to go elsewhere to get them out for maintenance or storage they would probably just moor them elsewhere?

Was just speaking with the guy in VMR who was talking to worker at marina ,boat ramp is being removed:( ,good news is it will be replaced with new ramp closer to passage entrance:cheer: Lets hope it is as good as the existing ramp.
