Coomera River Weir

G'day guys...

I'm heading down the ol Coomera River this arvo for a bait and plastic session, and was wondering what the action has been like down around the Weir behind Oxenford?

I haven't been down that way for bloody ages, over a year i reckon, and since the rain has stopped I've been keen to have a flick there.

The last time i went was just bream, a small tailor and catfish... any success stories out there lately?

The weir has been a well known producer of trevs and tailor for myself and other AFO members. I would say with the lack of rain it should be pretty salty up that way and you would be in with a good chance.

Already been a couple of Coomera Jacks caught by AFO members this month so good luck!

That's good to hear. The lack of rain and warmer weather should start firing up the Coomera soon, I've even started catching a few Rock Cod lately, so bring On Jack season!
