Hi guys, I bought this biomaster recently, and I just found the ring thing in the box. I realized that you can actually put this replaceable ring on the spoon. So does anyone know what is the ring for???

I've got one of these in the 2500 size and there was no ring thing in the box so not sure what it is.

Might be so you can spool up without mono backing to stop the braid spinning on the spool.

Looks like a poor man's shallow spool, good for running a 125 yard spool of thin braid, I personally would rather use mono backing

10lb Stren Microfuse braid on mine, good little reels too.

Yeah mate, I hate shallow ones. So I didn't use them and put mono backing on and 15lb Fins on it

Mate iv'e got a 2500 and love never seen anything like that before but as far as line 15lb nitlon im running nitlon on my 2500 and think its probly the best braid i have used for the money come's of very smooth and no wind knots as of yet.Tackle warehouse stock it so give it a crack I don't think you will disapointed.
