Where would you go.....

I'm thinking of giving myself a night off and heading away for a 2 day, 1 night fishing trip with my brother, I have a boat (bass style) and was thinking of river systems, dams, lakes etc. I'm after some idea's heading out from Brisbane, Where would you go.... :cheer:

Moogerah. Bass

Borumba. Bass, Saratoga,yellowbellys.

Boondoomba, bass yellowbellys, cod.

Noosa river, jacks,bass,gt's

All are within a couple hours drive from you.

A bit further north I'd be looking at Lenthalls Dam, barra & bass.

Would be nice and quiet for a midweek stay of a couple of nights.

Thanks for the suggestions, at this stage I was thinking of traveling very early on a Sunday morning staying sunday night, fishing monday and traveling back monday afternoon / evening....

You would be very lucky to get on to any fish for a flying one nighter, treat it as a scouting trip, pick somewhere like Lenthalls or Glen Lyon, whaich are beautiful spots on their own, suss it out for a future more serious trip

I like the sound of that, although I don't think my brother would see it the same way.... He'd be looking to get on to a couple of fish... That being said we don't really have a say in it do we, the fish aren't always accommodating to our plans...

If we are looking to string together three or four sessions over two days what do you think would give us the best chance.

As mentioned above,Lenthals is an awesome lake.

You can catch barra and bass on the same lure in the same spots.

It does have restrictions though to electric or 4 stroke engines only.

Campsite is on the water and you can leave your boats in overnight otherwise they have a private ramp in the park.

Awesome place to visit.

cheers everyone for the comments, would it be worthwhile considering the Noosa area and the upper reaches of the river for some jacks and the like.
