With the heat and storm rolling in this arvo and the early finish at work this morning I made the most of it and hit Laguna Quays and the O\'connell River Land Based chasing Jacks. Anyway got a small Cod at the Quays and got smoked by three jacks so buggered off to the river and walked the rocky edges flicking small plastics. Got the slightest bump and thinking it was a Tarpon I struck and the line peeled and that sight I have been wanting to see for years of a beautiful Barra air born was in vision :woohoo: :woohoo: Got it in no dramas and it went 61cm. After a very quick pick, hence the dodgy quality it was back in the drink. (Before anyone gets on my case I realise its closed season and NO I was not intentionally chasing them, I was only using 8LB line with a 12LB leader and basically a Bream plastic).

Well done Den. I was going to visit my mum in Ayr for Chrissy. Then I realised it was closed season for Barra...not going to bother until March now :whistle:

Yes being out of season makes it a minus capture.

Now you need 2 in season to equal your first one.
