Stradic parts needed

Hey guys,

I was out on the weekend with my mate and stood on his Stradic FJ 2500 and bent the handle. I called Charltons and they recon we would have to buy the whole handle assembly for $75. Does anyone know somewhere where I can buy just the handle or have an old out of service reel. Any help ideas would be much appreciated.

I guess it was the longest part of the handle (runs parallel with the rod if its facing that way), if that makes sense

Yeah that makes sense, I think you might find that is a whole assembly.

I only had a quick look at it but it looks like all the pieces should unscrew/separate. Not sure weather they will sell them separately though. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

I felt like a bum when he went to spin the reel and it hit the bail arm!

Just had a look at the schematic, it is indeed one assembly - part number RD14929 Handle Assembly.

Matt you will be lucky if its only the handle that got damaged. I had a brand new Sol 4000 get crushed against the side of a mates boat when the esky with about 50kg of fish slid sideways into it. At first i thought it was just the handle that was damaged but the impact actually bent some of the reels internals so the reel was buggered

Hopefully thats not the situation in your case, or your mate will score himself a nice new stradic :ohmy:
