Rod and reel for plastics

Hey all. I'm just after your recommendations on wat rod and reel to buy for fishing with soft plastics? I'm land based fishing. Budget around 200-300bux. Something bcc would stock preferably as I can get a discount there.

Go down to bcf and find a 2500 sized reel within your budget shimano is probably better in that sort of price bracket. and then a 7ft 1-3kg rod graphite would be preferable. put some 6 or 10lb braid on it. fireline is fine for a start but fins or powerpro would also be fine.

The choices are all up to you. find a rod that you like the feel of.
