How far to catch Pearl Perch.

Hi, I would like to know how far do i need to go to catch some of these fellas (pearlies) off Gold Coast? Would like to try it this Saturday with this good weather.

Any info would be great.

20 fm and further is where you want to start looking.

They prefer the deeper reefs and 40 to 60 fm is optimal for them.

I have recently started chasing pearlies. Havnt bagged out yet lol but we get couple every trip.

I like chasing then from 60m plus.

Use your sounder to find wire weed on bottom.

Try the 36 at gc and sound around there.

Try going easy on them once hooked or else you rip hooks out.

Mate, about 23 ks to the 36's from the seaway.
