Just reading another post and it got me thinking, I've been land based sharking using mullet dead and live, the same with hearing and large prawns, I have heard that eel and Ray are like candy to sharks.... Has anyone had luck or can you even rig up a live squid for a bul shark???

Would save the squid for jewies and snaps eel and ray make great baits use eel alot but in some spots live mullet will get smashed before anything else and vice versa and don't be afraid to use small mullet either have had them hit by decent size bullies over bigger mullet on the same rig

I've caught plenty of little reef sharks on squid in the bay (unintentionally).

I wouldn't waste my time with squid if targetting bullies or bigger sharks though. They are not oily and smelly enough. The other baits you mentioned will work better.

My biggest problem at the moment is finding the buggers lol all my old spots just have way to much rod traffic ct the moment and even the boat ramp at Waterford you've nut bags swimming in there all day haha

I have previously found that freshwater eel is a great bait anywhere in the Logan, as well as fresh mullet fillet. For those smaller bullies, don't fall into the trap of fishing heavy- try and present your bait as natural as possible. I know guys on here get the small river bullies up to around the metre mark on 3lb! Also, try and fish a tide change and you should be in with a great chance especially with the warmer weather staring to kick in...
