Topwater Bassin

Hi Guys,

Andrew and I decided on a quick topwater session before tea. There was no wind and the warm day spelt topwater bass at sundown. As darkness fell on the river I got two consecutive hits for a 37 & 42cm bass. The second bass was a real fatty. Andrew then got a noisy surface strike and hooked up but it dropped off on the way in. I got one more hit for a baby 28cm bass and we called it a night at 7pm. Happy Bassin!

Cheers... Joe.

Thanks guys! I have a dozen bass combos at home from 4lb to 20lb. The 4lb rod and a Stella 1000 spooled with 6lb braid is my fav as it has caught more topwater bass than all my other rods put together. I can feel the lightest bump and it casts the lightest of my topwater lures. To be able to see and hear a surface strike, then feel the rod load up as the bass takes off is a special moment for me.
