Gday guys, we set out early today in search of some fish, i missed a cracker early that missed a surface walker and landed another shortly after, we persisted for another hour or two without a bite but as they day progressed and the water temp started to rise they came on the bite, we ended up landing 8 with the best going 44 to the fork and very healthy. I also managed to catch another bass with a tag, that's 2 in a week!

Yes we tagged most fish today, i did notice the new tags are a longer than the bass i have recaptured, might be a new batch?

Your tags look like the "tick" ones you put in with the tool that looks like and ice pick?, the one in the fish that looks old is from a tagging gun, they are shorter.

Yep thats them, my mate who also featured in the report got a tagging kit recently. We've been tagging a few toga so hopefully they get recaptured some day soon.

As it warmed up did you persist with the surface lures or did you start throwing divers?

Thanks for the comment @splurgehsplurgeh. We persisted for a while with surface lures but no such luck. We try and focus on the shady areas out of the sun which you can find all day in hinze as the mountains and  trees provide cover. All fish were caught in shallow water.  I caught all of mine on a spinnerbait aside from the surface fish  and my mate caught them on an imakatsu alive chatter and a soft plastic shrimp imitation from memory.

Actually i lied, my mate caught one on a osp bent minnow early in the day too that i forgot about.

Hi Guys, quick update on the tagged fish, i just put the info into suntags website and both fish were tagged by Mr R Kennedy @rayke1938 in 2014, both fish had grown 3cm.
