Pumicestone Passage 21/8/16

I got out for an early Sunday morning fish.  The passage was alive with boats and jetskis, however the fishing was pretty slow.  A lot of undersize bream came onboard with a couple of legal whiting.  As we were packing up to leave my daughter dragged this beauty in!  Went 42cm.  Upgraded her PB by 6cm

Make for some good fishing yarns for her in years to come - "without a word of a lie, years ago I caught a whiting so big I couldn't get my hands around it!, and I've got the photo to show! "

Horse whiting !

Would have put a nice bend in the rod. What bait ?

Cracker whiting - she's got me covered by, ummmmmm, a considerable margin ......   Oh and just a heads up we are in August now, not June .....

So I entered Sophie and her whiting in the monthly Get Fishing comp and she won the biggest whiting for August.  She was extremely excited!

yeah i reckon...she is slowly getting better gear than me!
