Double Island Advice

Gday all

I'm seeking advice. Is it a good idea to take my 3.8m tinny to double island to fish the shallow reefs and coffee rock in Rainbow Bay? I can't seem to find the closest VMR, I also do not have a radio (I do have flares, V-sheet). All opinions welcome!! The wind forecast is also very friendly.

You can get a cheap enough hand held radio for $140 from bcf that's what I have and it has a good range. Also if you're going more than 2 nautical miles offshore you need an epirb or they will fine you.

I haven't launched my own boat before, but have witnessed launching theirs. I'm guessing there's a couple of tricks to it.

If you are launching on the rainbow beach side with swell and wind on your side, there probably wont be any waves.  Just make sure u have a 4x4 with low range.  There is the coastguard at noosa and tin can bay.
