Yep - as always, whoever wins the forwards battle has their nose in front. I think Madge has picked some sort/style of players that NSW haven’t a lot over the years (eg. McInnes). I’ll back is though - will be interesting to see Cobbo come on as a forward - would love to see him fired up and hitting hard in defence .

Nah, probably because I was there. Broncos haven’t won a game when I have been there for years. I think I will stay at home for the rest of this season.

I'm 0/2 in Sydney so will have to go back for 3rd time lucky sometime. A fella with the surname Johns has since retired so our chances are a bit higher these days ..... .

Apart from 2 years living in London in 2006 & 2007 and then two years at some point through our 8 years in a row reign where we couldn't get tickets, I've gone to every other game in Brisbane since 1997. Plenty of good memories (and wins) .

I'm aware of Gus's playing, coaching and admin record... admittedly the further Gus has moved on from his playing and coaching days the more feathers he leaves behind, and his reknowned honking is seldom there... he may now be almost fully moulted, but when does a goose no longer be classified a goose... just saying

Ahh, @Rebel, I tried so hard last year to get a rise out of you around State of Origin time, but you were the better man and refused to take the bait. Now I may have found your archilles heel. I guess Gould is like Gallen - if you live south of the border he is a rugby league guru who has reached the heights few mortals can dream of. If you live in God’s country, he is an arrogant twat who was an ordinary player, coach and administrator. As blues supporter you will never know the joy of watching Gould and Johns straight after another Maroons victory. Stand by for further ribbing in the next month. All in good fun though.
