we will take a couple of blocks of pilchards each and catch the rest of our bait needs out of the sand, pippies and beachworms

should be able to get hold of a few whiting and tailor to use as flesh/live/fresh baits off the rocks too. pippies are usually quite easy to locate along the beach, and are a cheap and easy alternative to pillies.

ok guys, as shortie said, everyone who is coming up for any of the time must bring their own food - except the 6 guys in our cars - shortie, carsten, ellicat, graham, jeff f, me. you will also need to pre-book a camping permit for however many nights you are coming for. check www.qld.gov.au/camping and you will find your way through it all. it costs about $5 per night so not a massive expense. welcome to use a corner of our bbq if needed. anything you want to bring please BYO in your car, shortie and i won't have space for anything excess to our requirements!

basically, anyone who wants to is welcome to come up and say gudday. we won't have mobile reception at all so if you let us know when you plan on coming up we will keep an eye out for you. any questions just post them up here. guys - if you are coming up on the weekend let us know when you will be coming up. also, anyone needing a lift from tewantin up the beach needs to let me know asap!

now have it on good authority that sand can destoy it very quick with friction. A good wash in clean freash water. Maybe even add a little fabric softner.

Other let it dry and the mud just falls off next use. I find they get a bit smelly i prefer the washing technique
